Income identification improvements in Banking VOI and VOAI reports.

Integration enhancements

Expected release: October 29, 2026We’re updating our Banking VOI and Banking VOAI reports to better distinguish income from personal transfers, refunds, and other non-income deposits.✔️ Refined income confidence: P2P, cash, and check deposits are evaluated using payer information and deposit patterns. Deposits with limited supporting information are less likely to receive High confidence, while recognizable paycheck and gig-platform income can remain High.✔️ Improved non-income filtering: Better recognition of refunds, reimbursements, loan disbursements, and earned-wage advances reduces the likelihood that these deposits are counted as income.✔️ Clearer income stream names: Cash and ATM deposit streams with an unidentified payer use more descriptive names that include the deposit category, making them easier to review.

API

1099 document authenticity is now available.

API enhancements

Argyle’s existing OCR support for 1099 document uploads now includes authenticity analysis for 1099-MISC, 1099-K, 1099-R, and SSA-1099 forms. Authenticity scores and detailed authenticity information are available alongside existing OCR data.Results can be retrieved through the API or viewed in Console, including authenticity summaries. The existing user_uploads.ocr_authenticity webhook also provides notifications when results are available.

Updates to Customer Terms and consumer documents

We updated the Open Payroll Customer Terms and the documents they incorporate — the Data Protection Addendum, Support Policy, Service Levels and Subprocessor List — to cover upcoming releases for tax documents and employer outreach, to address customers that are consumer reporting agencies, and to describe how fees work for requests submitted through or delivered into third-party platforms, point-of-sale systems and loan origination systems. We also updated our consumer-facing documents, including the Consumer Terms, Privacy Notice, Cookie Policy and Messaging Policy, and retired the separate CCPA Notice, whose state-law disclosures now sit within the Privacy Notice. The updated versions are dated October 1, 2026 and are available at argyle.com/legal.

Broker-branded invites for wholesale mortgage

Wholesale lenders can now send broker-branded borrower invites through Argyle’s Verifications API and Encompass® TPO Connect.

Broker-branded communication: Email and SMS invites identify the broker, with contact details available in the email and landing page.
API support: Add broker details once per borrower using external_metadata.broker. The default wholesale flow provides broker-specific messaging without creating a separate flow for every broker.
TPO Connect ordering: Brokers can order payroll, asset, and document-based income verifications using the lender’s Argyle setup. Encompass Automated Service Ordering (ASO) also supports initial orders on broker-originated loans.

Real-time feedback on document uploads.

Link updates

You can now enable two checks for document uploads via Link:

Incorrect document type — If a user uploads a different document type from the one requested, Link rejects the upload and directs them to submit the correct type. This check is available for paystub, W-2, and 1099 requests.
Paystub recency — Set how recent a paystub must be (30 days by default). Older paystubs are rejected, and users are directed to submit a more recent one.

Both checks work with PDFs and images, and can be enabled for individual Link flows under Document upload settings in Console’s Flow Editor.

Monitor new connections after verifications

A new verifications.connection_added webhook is now available for clients and partners. It is sent when a user adds a new payroll account or connects a new banking institution after a verification reaches COMPLETED or CANCELLED.
For verifications initiated through Encompass or Consumer Connect, an email notification is also sent when a new connection is added.
In Encompass, a one-click option to refresh the verification with the newly connected data is shown.

Track additional account data availability

The optional data.resource.availability object in account webhook payloads now includes shifts and user_uploads for accounts.added, accounts.updated, accounts.connected, and accounts.failed.

Skyward, one of the largest education platforms in the U.S. and a provider of K–12 HR and payroll software, is now available through Argyle, expanding coverage to more than 1,200 organizations, including hundreds of school districts and municipalities across the country.

Custom sending domain

Emails sent to consumers through Argyle can now come from an address on your own domain, such as verifications@yourcompany.com, instead of an Argyle email address.Custom sender domains are currently available on request. Contact your Argyle Customer Success Manager to enable the feature, then follow the setup guide to configure it in Console.

Verification invites

Verification invites can now be created through the Verifications API.

After ordering one or more verifications, create a session with type: invite and provide the user’s email address, phone number, or both.

Improved invite and landing page guidance.

Link updates

We’ve improved invites and landing pages to provide more guidance throughout the verification process:

Email and SMS invites now list all requested verifications, including income, employment, and assets.
As users complete each verification, or if they encounter an issue, the landing page directs them to the next required step or another available option.
If users try to exit before all requested verifications are complete, they are prompted to optionally complete any remaining verifications.

Franchise coverage expands with 1,500+ additional Items.

Argyle has expanded its franchise coverage, with an additional 1,500+ Items added for corporate and franchise employers across 14 major brands, including Burger King, Dairy Queen, Domino’s, Dunkin’, KFC, Little Caesars, McDonald’s, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Planet Fitness, Popeyes, Subway, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s.

Platform

Consumer email notification beginning July 15, 2026.

Beginning July 15, 2026, Argyle will automatically send an email notification to consumers after they successfully connect their Workday account to share their income and employment information through Argyle. The notification will be enabled by default for Workday connections. Consumers may also receive a separate notification directly from Workday.

We have released automatic updates to our Banking VOI and Banking VOAI reports to make income calculations more accurate and report outputs easier to review.✔️ Updated VOI and VOAI PDFs: Banking VOI and Banking VOAI report PDFs have been refreshed to reflect the latest income calculation and report output updates.✔️ More accurate gross income calculations: Updated tax assumptions and state-level logic improve net-to-gross estimates.✔️ Better income stream detection: Payment app deposits like Venmo and Zelle, along with check/cash and wire deposits, are now evaluated more precisely so related deposits are grouped into income streams and unrelated deposits are less likely to be counted as income.✔️ Improved projected income logic: Infrequent, older, low-dollar non-paycheck deposits, and identified tax refunds are less likely to be treated as active ongoing income or projected forward.✔️ New gross income fields in report JSON: Banking VOI and VOAI JSON now includes net_monthly[].gross and average_monthly_income_gross on each income stream.
