Sandbox testing

Use Console to test Argyle in Sandbox mode.

Argyle Console allows you to invite users to share their employment records, which you can then view in one place.

📘

If you already are a client of Argyle, you can access Argyle Console here. Otherwise, contact Argyle to get you up and running with an account.

Step 1: Enable Sandbox mode

When you start using Console for the first time, Sandbox mode is enabled by default. You can switch between Sandbox mode and Production mode (which uses real data) in the left-side panel:

Enable Sandbox mode

Step 2: Launch Link emulator

To start testing, click Emulator in Console's side panel:

Launch Link emulator

Step 3: Select a company or platform

Select a company or platform

After clicking Continue on the first screen, you are directed to the second screen that allows a user to search for and choose their employer or payroll platform. For the purposes of testing in the Sandbox, we provide two slightly different data sets:

  • Rideshare/Delivery — if you select a gig company like Uber or Doordash, the data has more activity information (duration, distance, etc).
  • General — if you select any other company or payroll platform, the data reflects traditional employment records.

Step 4: Log in using test credentials

enter credentials in Argyle's sandbox mode

Within the Sandbox, there are three test users with their respective credentials. Please select any of them and enter the required information during the authentication process. These credentials work for any company or platform on the list.

📘

The Sandbox environment only allows the usage of our test credentials. If you try to enter real credentials, an error appears.

In case a company or platform features two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA or 2-step verification), please use the verification code provided alongside the test credentials for that user.

After you successfully log in, test data is added to your account.

Step 5: See employment records in the Your users tab

Click on the Your users tab in Console's side panel.

Next, click on the individual user to be directed to their data sets.
