Questionnaire

Learn how to provide the best experience for users who cannot find their income source.

The questionnaire feature in Link allows you to gather additional information to help your users in two scenarios:

  • If your user cannot find their employer, you can allow them to search among covered payroll providers through the Can't find your income source? button.
  • If your user still cannot find their income source, you can allow them to provide their income details through the Other payroll provider button.

The questionnaire flow described in this guide is supported starting from the following Link SDK versions: Android 4.2, iOS 4.2, React Native 4.2.


Searching payroll providers covered by Argyle

In the rare case that your user cannot find their employer in Argyle Link, you can give them the option to search among payroll providers covered by Argyle through the Can’t find your income source? button.

This button is enabled by default and becomes visible when the user starts typing in the search field.

You can customize the text that appears on this button in Link Customizer.

Selecting a payroll provider takes your users to the login screen where they can log into their payroll provider’s platform.


Gathering employment data through the questionnaire

If your user still cannot find their income source, you can give them the option to provide their income details through the Other payroll provider button. This button is shown at the end of the payroll providers list and jumps to the top when the user starts typing in the search field.

This questionnaire is enabled by default when you provide the search option or a limited list of Link items for your users. It is disabled if you enable Deep linking in Customizer, as there is no search screen option available.

If you limit the list of available Link items to Gig platforms, the Can’t find your income source? button takes users to a simplified questionnaire where they can enter their income source.

Although it is possible to disable the Can’t find your income source? button and the questionnaire altogether, Argyle recommends enabling it. The information you can gather through the questionnaire helps to provide a better experience for your users in the future.


Retrieving information provided by your users

You can retrieve the responses your users submitted in the questionnaire through Console. Select the user on the Your users page to see their responses.

You can view the responses in JSON format by selecting the JSON button.
