# URL modifications

> An enhanced way to share direct links to Argyle's payroll connection experience.

<div className="release-meta">
  <span className="release-date">May 30, 2024</span>
  <span className="release-tag" data-changelog-tag="console">Console</span>
</div>

Today we're introducing [URL modifications](https://argyle.com/docs/console/flows/shareable-urls#url-modifications).

URL modifications are an enhancement to [Shareable URLs](https://argyle.com/docs/console/flows/shareable-urls), a feature that lets you share direct links to Argyle's payroll connection experience.

With URL modifications, the URL path can be altered so you can adjust or even automate:

* Who receives an email notification when there is a successful connection.
* Which [external identifier](https://argyle.com/docs/overview/data-structure/users#external-identifiers) should be associated with connections made through the URL.
