# API enhancements

The `/item-notifications` endpoint has been deprecated. Please use the `/items` [endpoint](https://argyle.com/docs/api-reference/items) going forward to retrieve information on:

* Changes to an Item's health `status` or related messaging when connection issues occur.
* Changes to the data fields an Item supports or its deposit switching capabilities.
